The Niswonger Performing Arts Center in Greeneville will hold a special concert, "An Evening With LeAnn Rimes," on Saturday, May 4th. Tickets are available for $65 in the orchestra and mezzanine sections, and $50 for balcony seats. Show time is 7:30 pm.
Mississippi's Maragaret LeAnn Rimes broke into country music in 1996, at the age of 13, with the hit "Blue," a song originally written by Bill Mack in 1956 and pitched to singer Patsy Cline. Rimes has since sold over 37 million records and racked up many awards: two Grammys, three ACMS, a CMA, 12 Billboard Music Awards, and one American Music award. Her latest album entitled "Spitfire," already released in the UK and Australia, will be released in the U.S. on June 4, 2013.
Rimes' public performances have been scarce in recent years. Her performance on The X-Factor in December of last year made headlines for various reasons.
Rimes has performed in the Tri-Cities a few times in the past, including the Appalachian Fair as a teenager and as the headliner of Fun Fest in 2006.

[Her] initial album reached the No. 1 position on the Top Country Albums chart and was certified multi-platinum in sales by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA)."
